Guest Information

Check-in:  Check in time is 3.00pm. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer early check-in during high and peak seasons.

Access to the property: There is a lockbox located at the property which will contain keys for access.

Guest Registration Form: The Guest Registration Form must be completed prior to 12pm on the day of arrival in order for you to receive key lockbox access.

Key Lockbox Details: Key lockbox details are sent via SMS and email at 12pm on the day of arrival, providing you have completed your Guest Registration Form prior to this time.

Keys – There will be 2 sets of keys at the property. 1 set in the key lockbox for access, the second set is located inside.  Pleasure ensure you return the lockbox key set to the lockbox immediately after accessing the property.  This will be your backup key in the event of lockout!  Please use the keys located inside the property during your stay.

Check out: Check out time is strictly 10.00am. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer late checkouts during high and peak seasons.

Keys: Please ensure that both sets of keys are left at the property upon departure. 1 set of keys is to be left in the lockbox, 1 set of keys is to be left in the house. Failure to do so will incur a $100.00 fee.

Linen: All linen including sheets, towels, bath mats, facewashers and hand towels are provided at all properties.

Amenities: Please refer to the listing page of the property you have booked through this website for a detailed list of amenities.

Firewood: Firewood is provided to all properties that offer a wood fire from 1 May – 30 September. Outside of this period you are welcome to purchase firewood at your own expense.

Swimming Pools: Swimming pools are not heated at any time of year.

Pet Friendly Properties: Strictly a maximum of 2 fury friends per property. 

Deposits: A 50% deposit is due within 3 days of your booking being made.

Balances: Balance payments are due 14 days prior to arrival.

Credit Card payments are accepted by Visa or Mastercard. All card payments are processed via our secure gateway and are subject to credit card merchant fees of 1.75%. In accordance with our Terms & Conditions, the card details will be securely kept for 14 days after departure and any damages or additional charges will be charged to the card within that time frame if needed. Once the 14 days after departure has passed the card details are automatically deleted from our secure system.

Cancellation of confirmed bookings (where payment has been made) more than 21 days prior to arrival will attract a $110 administration fee.     

If cancelled 15 – 21 days prior to arrival, one night’s accommodation is forfeited.       

If cancelled within 14 days of arrival, no refund will be provided.      

No shows – No refund.    

A reduction in the length of stay once a guest is already in residence in the property will not be refunded.         

If your booking has been deferred, our cancellation policy will apply to the dates on your original booking.

Please note: If your booking was made via a third party website such as Stayz, Airbnb, Booking.com, their cancellation policy will apply and the above will be overwritten. All cancellations must be sent in writing via email to info@brightescapes.com.au to be valid.

Covid Cancellation Policy

Should any bookings be affected by government lockdowns, the option of moving dates or holding funds will be available.

 Refunds are not available as Covid is no longer regarded as an unforeseen circumstance.

 Testing positive to Covid-19 prior to arrival

In the event a guest tests positive to Covid-19 within 7 days of arrival, Bright Escapes will defer the booking.

Bright Escapes requires confirmation of the positive Covid-19 result in writing.

Specific dates must be nominated at this time to defer the booking, within a 12-month period of your expected arrival date.

Please note deferred bookings will not be eligible for future refunds.

If the deferred booking is not used within the said timeframe the booking will be forfeited.

Testing positive to Covid-19 during your stay

In the event a guest tests positive to Covid-19 whilst staying in house, you are required by law to notify Bright Escapes immediately. 

Bright Escapes requires confirmation of the positive Covid-19 result.

You have the option of isolating in the property for the length of your stay, and there are services available to assist with basic needs such as food deliveries.

QR Check-In

All guests are required to check-in to Bright Escapes properties. 

All houses have QR check in codes at the property.

Bright Escapes reserves the right to hold Credit Card details on file as security for any damages, excess cleaning and any extra charges that may be incurred during your stay. These card details will be securely kept for 14 days after departure and any damages or additional charges will be charged to the card within that time frame if needed. Once the 14 days after departure has passed the card details are automatically deleted from our secure system. Some properties require an additional cash bond to be held.
